Pile and Co. to handle AmEx spinoff review

American Express Co. has hired Boston-based consultancy Pile and Co. to lead the search for an agency to handle the estimated $55 million advertising account for its Financial Advisors division, which is being spun off from its main business. Since 1979, WPP Group agency Ogilvy & Mather has worked on the U.S. AmEx account.
