Florida bill would require parental notification of sex-ed classes

Schools must notify parents about the content of sex-education classes under a bill unanimously approved this week by a Florida Senate committee. Existing law allows parents to ask that their children be removed from sex-education classes, but there's no provision requiring schools to tell them what is being taught.
