Top ad holding companies earned a combined $4.7B from digital

Each of the top four ad holding groups generated significant earnings from digital services last year, collectively pulling in an estimated $4.7 billion, according to Ad Age's DataCenter. However, Omnicom, WPP, Interpublic and Publicis still will need to deal with the rising costs of forming and maintaining digital assets as well as increased pressure from marketers who want more control over their digital ad spend.
