Canada looks to promote, explain NP services

Government officials in New Brunswick, Canada, are considering adding more nurse practitioners in the province but admit the public doesn't fully understand the roles NPs play in providing community health care and solving physician shortages, especially in rural areas. Health Minister Mike Murphy said NPs don't replace family physicians but are complementary to them.
