Social media success is more than just community building

While community building often is seen as the goal of social media efforts, as Francois Gossieaux points out, that doesn't mean community formation necessarily leads to social media success. If online community members aren't delivering new sales or bringing in new community members, it's important to figure out ways to push your community in a direction that will help you increase the return on the time and money you invested in building it.
