40 airlines agree to take up slack for BA during strike

British Airways has struck agreements with 40 other carriers as it prepares for a strike by flight attendants later this week. "Around 60 percent of our customers will be able to fly as planned, and many thousands more can be rebooked onto alternative BA flights or onto rival airlines," CEO Willie Walsh said in a statement.
