Should schools allow corporal punishment?

A fashion designer is leading a nationwide campaign to end corporal punishment in schools in the 20 states that still allow it. Marc Ecko, who launched the campaign last week, says corporal punishment is harmful to learning. Ecko spoke before a Texas legislative committee recently in support of a proposal that would ban the practice.
