U.N.: Radioactive plume from Japan will reach U.S. on Friday

A radioactive plume from earthquake-damaged Japanese nuclear reactors will reach Southern California by late Friday, according to the U.N. Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization. The agency didn't provide information on the plume's radiation level for when it hits the U.S. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission expects no harmful level of radiation to reach the U.S.
