Vetoes loom over GOP efforts to drop housing programs

The White House continues to threaten to veto attempts by congressional Republicans to close down housing relief and foreclosure-prevention programs. House Republicans have targeted four of the Obama administration's housing programs, saying they are costly and wasteful. The Home Affordable Modification Program, known as HAMP, is one of the programs that Republicans are striving to terminate.
