Young workers may face difficulties with older colleagues and require special handling from their bosses, according to a study by MSLGROUP and Ashridge Business School. Millennials' ambition and dislike of hierarchies can make them a managerial challenge, but their energy and entrepreneurialism make them a valuable asset, the report notes. "Companies must recognize the potential disconnect between older managers and younger employees, and help each party appreciate the other's value," the study says.
