Green building on track to becoming normal

Some New York municipalities have made changes to save on energy costs, and builders and commercial real estate developers have followed suit. White Plains retrofitted its streetlights with sodium bulbs, Greenburgh requires builders to use improved insulation and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems and the state offers grant money to schools that come up with solar energy ideas.
