Concern hall construction a lesson in science of sound, sight

Construction workers pouring concrete for a new concert hall in Omaha, Neb., have learned more about acoustics and the science of sight lines than they bargained for. Workers had to be exceptionally meticulous in pouring concrete for the bowl-shaped orchestra level and its steep curves and a two-inch gap was formed with outer barrier to create a "box within a box" to isolate sound.
