New breast cancer pill improves patients' quality of life

The new pill by Roche, called Bondronat, helps stop breast cancer from spreading into the bone, a problem that has forced many women to go to a hospital for intravenous treatment. In addition, the pill has fewer side effects than an earlier pill, does not appear to worsen kidney problems, reduces pain and lowers the risk of fracture.
