Paper or plastic? Shoppers' preferences changing again

Just a few years ago paper bags appeared to be fading away, as consumers opted for stable, leak-proof, plastic bags. But now paper bags offer handles and can hold more weight, causing grocery shoppers to shift back. While plastic bags are cheaper to produce, paper ones are biodegradable and are a better showcase for printed store advertisements.
