The president's plan to return humans to the moon and then send them to Mars could result in job cuts and plant closures, the Washington Post reports. Michael Romanowski, Aerospace Industries Association vice president of civil aviation, said aeronautics programs are vulnerable to cuts because the new programs will focus on breakthrough technologies. The aeronautics division studies experimental aircraft design, among other things.
