Sen. Harkin takes on Shrek

Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, took food marketers to task yesterday, mocking promotions aimed at children, such as placing a Barbie doll in a McDonald's uniform. Harkin argued that the advertising industry does a poor job of self-regulation, adding: "We got rid of Joe Camel. We've got to get rid of Shrek."
