Big Dig tunnel walls to stay dirty until warmer months

The tunnels of the Big Dig system in Boston may be brand new, but they are caked with dirt, and officials say there's nothing that can be done about it until the weather gets better. Cleaning the walls during the winter months carries the risk of making the roadways icy when water drips down. Weekly cleaning of the walls will begin in warmer months, officials say.
