UN hosts new round of Western Sahara peace talks

New peace talks for Western Sahara hosted by the United Nations began Sunday between Morocco and Polisario Front, the independence-seeking rebel movement based in Algeria. The UN brokered a cease fire between the two sides in 1991, but since then a planned referendum on the future of the territory has failed to take place amid continued disagreements.
