Expert: Firm active in Iran despite link to blood with contaminants

A subsidiary of French firm Mérieux, which was responsible for a supply of blood containing HIV that was given to more than 100 Iranian hemophiliacs, is still operating in the country, said Iranian Hemophilia Society Director Ahmad Ghavidel. Ghavidel is urging the Iranian Health Ministry and the Blood Transfusion Organization to take legal action on behalf of those affected.
