Bill would require more derivatives users to clear OTC trades

Legislation outlined this week by Senate banking committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., would require more end-users to clear over-the-counter derivatives trades through a central counterparty. The bill contains a much broader definition of a major swap participant compared with the House's version of the bill.
