China asks U.S. businesses to support its currency policy:

China wants U.S. multinational corporations to help persuade the Obama administration not to adopt protectionist trade measures based on the value of the yuan. Some companies are already lobbying the U.S. government in opposition to restrictions on Chinese imports, said Yao Jian, a spokesman for the Chinese Commerce Ministry. "We hope that U.S. companies in China will express their demands and point of views in the U.S., in order to promote the development of global trade and jointly oppose trade protectionism," he said.
