Holland America chief scrutinizes Alaska's cruise policies

Speaking at the Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention, Holland America Line CEO Stein Kruse called Alaska's regulatory environment for the cruise industry the "most burdensome and costly" of any in the world. "We understand that regulation is necessary, but we are concerned about overzealous regulation in Alaska," Kruse said. "Our assets are movable, and we are good at moving our ships if conditions necessitate."
