Talks on compromise climate bill almost done, lawmaker says

The three U.S. senators who are crafting a compromise climate package are close to wrapping up negotiations with industry groups, according to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., one of the lawmakers involved. "We're planning to button up our efforts somewhere, I hope, next week," Kerry said, adding that they are "trying to build support" as they develop the bill.
