California plans stronger concrete culvert after sinkhole

After a sinkhole swallowed a corrugated metal culvert in California's Bay Area, local officials want to invest $12 million to build a stronger one out of concrete. The concrete-box culvert is expected to be sturdier than its 33-year-old predecessor and will handle the creek that runs beneath the road.
