U.S. housing starts and building permits declined in February

Housing starts in February dropped to their lowest level since April 2009, the U.S. Commerce Department said. In the same month, the number of building permits issued fell to its lowest level since the government started collecting such data in 1960, suggesting that the decline in residential construction will continue.
