Beverage-inspired flavors are on Campbell's radar for 2014

Campbell Soup Co. uses its Culinary Trendscape to help filter ideas that may lead to product innovation. One of the major food trends for 2014 is incorporating beverage-inspired flavors, such as coffee and wine, according to David Landers, senior chef for Campbell's Culinary & Baking Institute. "We [Campbell Soup Co.] have a roasted chicken and chardonnay Slow Kettle Soup. It's not a random white wine soup. We as a culture appreciate different varieties of white wine, and that appreciation is extending elsewhere," Landers said.
