Google will let iOS, Android gamers settle scores

Google on Monday released a tool kit that will make it easier for developers to build multiplayer modes into games so that Android users can face off against their iOS-playing rivals. The move is seen as a push to encourage retention and more Android game development in a market estimated at $16 billion in 2013. "We want the whole world to play together," said Todd Kerpelman, a Google developer advocate.
