IRI emphasized its collaborative efforts with the retail industry at its 2014 Summit last week, showcasing innovations in technology and how partnerships with CPG companies in the industry will affect consumers and the shopping experience. The company unveiled a product launch predictor, which will speed up the process of projecting the success or failure of a new CPG product by nine or 10 weeks. IRI also announced plans to expand globally this year to provide its market and shopper data to companies in 20 countries, including China, and to expand its retail coverage.
