Massachusetts is hoping to help more women reach leadership positions through a program that will give them the opportunity to serve in salaried managerial positions with the state. The announcement of the program comes after research has indicated the state may be lagging in terms of women's leadership in the business world. "We're in the midst of the most profound global economic competition," said Gov. Deval Patrick. "To me that means we need all the talent on the field ready to play."
