Navy carrier was exposed to radiation near Japan, report says

The Navy aircraft carrier that deployed to Japan after an earthquake and tsunami was exposed to higher levels of radiation than the Japanese government initially led Navy leaders to believe, according to a report. Congress ordered the Defense Department to study the radiation levels after some sailors and Marines filed a lawsuit claiming they had become sick after responding to the disaster.
