NW Ind. colleges offer local pipeline for nurses

Northwest Indiana is trying to recruit more physicians, but many of its nursing students are local and will continue to practice in the area. Linda Delunas of Indiana University Northwest says the school tries to "engage them early in service learning projects to develop a sense of community." Purdue University's nursing program is at capacity and faces challenges in recruiting enough faculty members.
