Technology teacher-leaders to lead training in Ga. district

A school district in Georgia has taken a new approach to training teachers in technology. The district's model includes technology teacher-leaders who are paid a stipend to oversee an individual school's use of instructional technology. In this commentary, the district's director of technology and media services, Gary Shattuck, writes that teacher-leaders also were given support teams to "make sure every school is self-sufficient when it comes to training and supporting its teachers in using technology-embedded lessons."
