Washington School Districts Face Unexpectedly Large Cuts

A $98.6 million cut in public school funding could lead state schools to increase class size and cut teacher training and other programs, a report says. Educators have spoken out against the cuts, with some saying the move is a virtual repeal of Initiative 728, which was passed in November 2000 to increase funding to reduce class sizes.
