Washington Post education columnist Karin Chenoweth says Maryland should study Massachusetts' experience in requiring high school students to pass exit exams. She says the data on enrollment and passing rates after testing was implemented doesn't support one reader's allegation that Massachusetts students were pushed out of high school to keep graduation rates artificially high.
