Florida considers retooling NCLB standards

Florida is holding preliminary talks with the federal government over a proposed change which would boost the minimum size of groups whose state exam scores must be tracked separately under NCLB provisions. Expanding the group size, as many other states have done, would make it easier for Florida schools to meet so-called Adequate Yearly Progress federal standards.
