FDA Office of Women's Health to receive full funding

The FDA office that funds research into the biological and other differences between men and women that can affect the diagnosis and treatment of diseases is to receive the same $4 million this year as it has received recently. The agency's commissioner had been considering a 25% cut in the budget of the Office of Women's Health, agency insiders said, but Andrew von Eschenbach decided to propose full funding after pressure from Congress and activists.
