Cracks in pillar close stretch of I-95 in Philadelphia

A two-mile stretch of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia was ordered closed on Tuesday to allow for the repair of a large crack that appeared in a support pillar. Officials said the crack, which ranged from two inches to several inches wide, could have compromised the section of the highway, and it warranted the unusual action of closing the entire highway for what is expected to be at least two days.
