Former InterMune CEO accused of fraud

W. Scott Harkonen, former CEO of biotech company InterMune, was charged in federal court with unlawful marketing of Actimmune, a drug approved for immune system disorder and bone disease. He is accused of giving false and misleading statements about the drug's efficacy in treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Harkonen's lawyer said that his client will plead not guilty and that there is proof that the drug benefits IPF patients.
