NIH needs additional funds to keep pace with research

"Congress needs to provide the N.I.H. with enough money to keep up with biomedical inflation and preferably somewhat more," this New York Times editorial says. The agency cannot keep pace with all of the important research projects being proposed, which could lead to young scientists being turned off to research careers, as well wasting talent and labs that have been created in the last 10 years.
