Online spend will grow, despite economic woes

U.S. online ad spending in 2008 will grow 23% to $25.9 billion, even as concerns mount about an economic slowdown, according an upcoming eMarketer report. Indeed, the slowdown could make the Web segment more appealing to budget-conscious marketers, who want to make sure they're getting the biggest return possible on their ad dollars, according to David Hallerman, senior analyst at eMarketer.
