Falling demand causes cuts at Dana

Dana Holding Corp. announced plans to lay off 5,800 employees worldwide, as the company struggles with continued falling demand for its products. The auto supplier, which is based in Toledo, Ohio, posted a $256-million loss for the fourth quarter. Sales for the fourth quarter dropped 29% from the prior year to $1.5 billion.
