Survey: Consumers choosing more nutritious snacks

A Mintel International survey found an increased interest in snacks that contain vitamins and nutrients and are lower in fat and sugar. "Yes, consumers are economizing, but there's a new definition of value, and it's not just about price," said an expert with The Hartman Group, which found that more consumers are seeking snacks high in fiber and with less sugar.
