Analysis: North American petrochem landscape challenges producers

Three fundamental changes are under way in the North American petrochemical sector: the end of dominance of U.S. petrochem industry as an "exporter to the world"; the shifting of the feedstock slate from crude oil to natural gas; and higher gasoline prices, which seemed to end the historical growth of gasoline demand in the region.
