College graduation rate for Hispanics lags behind whites

Hispanic students continue to trail their white peers in college graduation rates, according to an American Enterprise Institute study. Only 51% of Hispanic college students obtained bachelor's degrees within six years, compared with 59% of whites. The gap was present even at more selective colleges, researchers found, with cultural and language barriers most often to blame.
