Kindergartners experiment in school's new science lab

Educators at a Poway, Calif., elementary school have turned a vacant classroom into a science lab where students can begin experimenting as early as kindergarten. A group of kindergartners who were the first to use the lab recently tested objects such as a pencil and an eraser to see if they would float in water. After the experiments, students prepared reports about what they learned.
