Metro says Eastern Europe is key for better 2010

Germany's Metro said it will look to Eastern Europe for growth this year. However, the company expects efficiency measures to help boost earnings again. Metro CEO Eckhard Cordes said the company's reorganisation has started to yield dividends although consumers are still struggling with the effects of the economic downturn.
