Minnesota towns along Red River prepared for possible flood

The small Minnesota towns of Montevideo and Granite Falls have shored up levee protection after the Red River flooded both towns in 1997. "I think what in the past would have been a major flood will be a minor inconvenience," said Montevideo City Manager Steve Jones. Meanwhile, other communities in the state are applying to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to have their levees certified.
