Napolitano is seeking global cooperation on aviation security

The Obama administration is working internationally to improve aviation security, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said. "We can do all we want in domestic airports, but unless worldwide airports increase their security and worldwide aviation increases its security, we're not really going to solve the entire problem," she told an audience at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Ga. Napolitano said the attempted Christmas Day bombing of a U.S. jetliner was the impetus for holding a series of regional aviation security conferences, something that "really has not been done for a number decades."
