New study suggests dogs originated from Middle East

New findings reveal that dogs likely originated from wolves that thrived in the Middle East, contrary to previous studies indicating that dogs hailed from East Asia. Researchers examined dog and wolf genomes from around the world and found that dogs were most genetically similar to Middle Eastern wolves.
