Owners of Willis Tower backing away from green plan

American Landmark is reconsidering its plan to transform the former Sears Tower, now known as the Willis Tower, into a green skyscraper. The co-owner of the tower had drafted a $350 million plan in June 2009 but is now "re-evaluating the viability" of the project. The public affairs firm hired by American Landmark is suing the company for firing them without a required 30-day notice.
